**Event will be held at Portland Community College Newberg Center Unidos Bridging Community is a Latinx-led nonprofit serving Yamhill County since 2011 with a mission to foster the reciprocity of knowledge, connections, and opportunities among individuals and families of Latin American roots for wellness through health, intergenerational wealth, civic engagement, and education. We offer culturally specific prevention services, including small business development training, youth workforce development, mobile health clinics, and nutrition education. Unidos advocates for system changes and collaborates with local service providers to develop thriving communities in Yamhill County. Medical Teams - US Programs Care & Connect seeks to strengthen the existing US healthcare system by filling crucial gaps in accessing medical care. Volunteers provide urgent dental care in tandem with medical screenings for diabetes, depression, and hypertension. Offer referrals to continuing care for any patient in need. We ask all of our volunteers to come to their roles with compassion, understanding, and respect for the people we serve. Our volunteers aren’t just the heart and soul of our clinics — they’re the backbone of our work! Bringing free dental care and health screenings to underserved communities only happens because of compassionate professionals like you.
