Mid-Willamette Valley Community Action is Marion-Polk’s leading nonprofit social services provider, focused on reducing poverty through innovative, evidence-based programs. Their ARCHES Project serves as the housing and street outreach division, helping individuals transition from homelessness to stable housing in Marion and Polk counties. The ARCHES Day Center in Salem offers a safe space with essential services, including showers, laundry, hygiene supplies, and resource referrals. Medical Teams International - US Program Care & Connect seeks to strengthen the existing US healthcare system by filling crucial gaps in accessing medical care. Volunteers provide urgent dental care in tandem with medical screenings for diabetes, depression, and hypertension. Offer referrals to continuing care for any patient in need. We ask all of our volunteers to come to their roles with compassion, understanding, and respect for the people we serve. Our volunteers aren’t just the heart and soul of our clinics — they’re the backbone of our work!
