The Clark County Veteran’s Assistance Center-Veterans Stand Down is designed to offer resources & referral for Veteran benefits, employment, education, and social service connections for ALL men and women who serve & have served in the Armed Forces. Stand Downs are open to all Veterans and offered by VA and local community partners gathering together in one location – to serve Veterans with local community resources and services. In addition, Stand Downs offer Veterans a health care check-up, hot meal, VA health care enrollment, and benefits advisors. Typically, events include haircuts, clothing repair, food assistance, important information on housing, job opportunities, and local businesses providing services to assist Veterans. We ask all of our volunteers to come to their roles with compassion, understanding, and respect for the people we serve. Our volunteers aren’t just the heart and soul of our clinics — they’re the backbone of our work! Bringing free dental care and health screenings to underserved communities only happens because of compassionate professionals like you.
