Medical Teams International
Thrive Center Tacoma was founded to support refugees and immigrants in the Seattle area. With King County, Thrive has been moving asylum-seekers out of encampments and into transitional housing since the third week of December 2023. Medical Teams International partners with Thrive International to provide urgent dental care services to the asylum-seekers currently living in temporary housing in Tacoma. US Programs seeks to strengthen the existing US healthcare system by filling crucial gaps in accessing urgent dental care. We ask all of our volunteers to come to their roles with compassion, understanding, and respect for the people we serve. Our volunteers aren’t just the heart and soul of our clinics — they’re the backbone of our work! Bringing free dental care and health screenings to underserved communities only happens because of compassionate professionals like you.
